A Bigraph Relational Model

Milner’s bigraphical reactive systems [7], or BRSs in short, are formulated in terms of category theory. They encompass earlier models, such as CCS [6], the π-calculus [3], and Petri nets [5]. However, as with other categorical models, it is not immediately clear how to implement a logical framework that could check, for example, the well-formedness or correctness of a BRS, or just execute reac...

A Qualitative Bigraph Model for Indoor Space

Formal models of indoor space for reasoning about navigation tasks should capture key static and dynamic properties and relationships between agents and indoor spaces. This paper presents a method for formally representing indoor environments, key indoor events that occur in them, and their effects on the topological properties and relationships between indoor spaces and mobile entities. Based ...

The biGraph – package

This package is an extension to the igraph–package [1] and provides a set of tools specifically aimed at the analysis of bipartite graphs. While intended to be continuously extended regarding functionality, the current focus lies on the projection of bipartite graphs, specifically concerning the associated information loss. In addition, clustering and community detection among vertex subsets is...

An Implementation of Bigraph Matching

We describe a provably sound and complete matching algorithm for bigraphical reactive systems. The algorithm has been implemented in our BPL Tool, a first implementation of bigraphical reactive systems. We describe the tool and present a concrete example of how it can be used to simulate a model of a mobile phone system in a bigraphical representation of the polyadic π calculus.

A Relational Object Model

The relational model and its extensions are often considered incompatible with object-orientation. However, on the one hand nested relations provide the complex object features demanded by object models. Particularly, powerful query languages exploit the complex data structure while keeping the advantages of the declarative, set-oriented paradigm. On the other hand, object models provide semant...
